This Great Western Railway 3700 Class, or City Class 4-4-0 steam locomotive was designed by William Dean and built at Swindon in 1903. It is now owned by the National Railway Museum at York.
The Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway has saved a part of the former Great Western Railways mainline from Birmingham via Stratford-upon-Avon to Cheltenham. The Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway runs trains between the Cheltenham Race Course station at Cheltenham to Broadway. It now has stations at Gotherington Winchcombe and Hails Abbey Halt and Toddington and Broadway (Broadway station only reopened in 2018 ).

The Great Western 5600 Class 0-6-2T tank engines were designed by C.B Collett for work in South Wales. This steam locomotive was built in Swindon in 1925.
