GWR Hall No. 4953 Pitchford Hall, in the background was about to to be withdrawn for its 10-year overhaul and was spare, but would have been used if needed.

This diesel 0-6-0 locomotive was built at Swindon in 1959 for British Railways with the number D2119.After it was withdrawn by BR in 1986.It went to the Dean Forest Railway some time in 1986.It then moved to the West Somerset Railway in 1996. It is now at the Epping and Ongar railway It is painted in the British Rail blue livery.
D2119 from December 2011 has been based at the Epping and Ongar Railway
