D 7629 at the Peterborogh Nene Valley Railway station on Saturday 29th September 2012 .
This Diesel gala started on the Friday. The trains only used the Mark1s on the Friday. It was a lot better taking photos on Friday as most people are at Work! I also went on the Saturday to the Nene Valleys Peterborough station. Each time a train came in every one got of to take a photo be for returning to Wansford for the next train.
This BR/Sulzer Type 2 ,now better known as a class 25. D 7629 was built by Beyer Peacock as a Class 25/3, entering service on 7 September 1965 as D 7629. It later becam Class 25 279. It was withdrawn in March 1987. It is now at the Great Central(North) It is painted in two tone green with the small yellow warning panels and is numbered D7629.
