A3 60103 Flying Scotsman in platform 5 on the 19th of April 2018 with 'The Great Britain'
With both Flying Scotsman and Tornado ending up at the Nene Valley Railway for repairs for a number of weeks in 2018 and The 'Summer Fire Risk Ban', Steam on the main line at Peterborough has been much less than was planed.
Tornado was still at the NVR at the start of October 2018, but was working NVR trains. Hopfully November and December 2018 will see more steam at Peterborough.
Fying Scotsman no.60103 into platform 3 non stop on the up fast at Peterborough on the 23rd of June 2018 with 'THE SCARBOROUGH FLYER' from Scarborough to Ealing Broadway.
LNER A4 Class 4-6-2 no 60009 Union of South Africa with the 'RAF 100. This train was Steam and Diesel hauled (DB class 66009) between Lincoln and Kings Cross. The train was coming slowly into platform 3 about 8-30 am at Peterborough railway station to pick up passengers on the 10th of July in 2018.
LNER A4 Class 4-6-2 no 60009 Union of South Africa tender first heading north using platform 5 at Peterborough railway station with only its surport coach on a movement from Orton Mere (NVR) to Southall London on the 4th of September 2018. The locomotive will have to run round its surport coach in Westwood Yard be for using platform 3 to return south to London
