Melton Station signal box is at the Leicester end of Melton Mowbray station on the line from Syston Junction to Peterborough.
The top of the box is larger than its base and over hangs at the front. It has had new windows, which do little for the box.
Melton station signal box has had new steel steps fitted.

This box is still in use in 2021. This signal box like all the other boxes on Peterborough to Leicester railway line was to have closed around 2017.
Melton Mowbray station is on the line from Syston Junction to Peterborough. Most passenger trains are class 170 or 158 units from Birmingham via Leicester to Peterborough March Ely and Cambridge and to Stanstead airport. Container trains and stone hoppers and Ballast are the main freight trains.
